Executive Recovery Coaching
Confidential support for leaders
For leaders experiencing burnout, overwhelm, or challenges with alcohol, gambling, substance use or compulsive behaviours.
Coaching is not a substitute for medical or clinical treatment. Where it’s appropriate, I’ll work alongside a GP, therapist or specialist service.

Why leaders come to this work
High performance often comes at a personal cost. For some leaders, sustained pressure, isolation and expectation can lead to unhealthy coping strategies, including alcohol dependency, substance misuse or other addictive patterns that begin to affect wellbeing, relationships and performance.
How we work
This is a confidential, non-judgemental space to pause, regain clarity and rebuild from a position of strength. Whether you’re questioning your relationship with alcohol, navigating recovery or looking to prevent escalation, the work is grounded in personal responsibility, self-awareness and sustainable change.
We address both the leadership context and the underlying drivers (stress, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, emotional pressure) while developing practical strategies that protect your health and your professional standing. The focus is not simply on stopping a behaviour. It is on restoring self-trust, resilience and aligned leadership.
Confidentiality and discretion
What you share stays between us, within the limits of the ICF Code of Ethics, for example where there’s a risk of serious harm. If your organisation is funding the coaching, we agree at the start what, if anything, is shared with them.
Outcomes may include
- Greater clarity around alcohol or addictive behaviours
- Structured support through recovery or behaviour change
- Healthier coping strategies under pressure
- Renewed energy, focus and emotional regulation
- Sustainable high performance without self-sabotage
